Seems they couldn't find new buyers after being kicked out Serie B. They had the chance to register for Serie D (I assume that's regional like the Vanarama) but no one would buy them.
I'm amazed clubs higher up the English pyramid didn't disappear during this pandemic. I wonder how many formerly "big" clubs might join them in the coming season or so thanks to COVID and mismanagement etc. |  |

Needs to be some sort of bailout fund created so it doesn't punish the fans. Once the toxic owner has been removed, if it's realistic, the fans should get the chance to save the club by accessing this fund at 0%.
A 0.1% tax on transfers would see a couple of hundred thousand pounds pumped in every transfer window to the bailout fund. Clubs going under for relatively peanuts while the Premier League drowns in cash. [Post edited 23 Aug 2021 17:16]
