I called it with him and I’m calling it for Paul Cook.

These huge squad overhauls don’t work. I believe we miss chambers, someone who knows the club, loves the club and can teach these players about our club.

You had me until you mentioned Chambers.

This is not the time for jokes. People are genuinely gutted.

Need players like him to help the transition.

"Called it with him"

Nothing in your posting history to back this up at all.

I've got the correct amount of man-love(ie loads) for Chambo, but now is not the time.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

really helping the transformation at col u!

playing him in place of kvy/woolf/burgess would be indefensible.

it was always a strong possibility that things would take time, but keeping a player so strongly identified with the past failures wouldn't have been the panacea you hope for

You called it with Hurst? You and how many others. Writing was on the wall there for any idiot to see. As much as people have criticised your Chambers comment we certainly lack someone getting in to the players, organising them from set pieces and leading by example, winning his battle.

chambers lack of organisation was a big problem, always played better when being organised by someone else

I'm a bit concerned how unbalanced we look despite this big overhaul. We also don't really look any better for it, in all honesty.

After Cooks awful performance last season it was a risk letting him have control over this seasons transfers- I assume this isn't totally the case and Ashton has signed players to fit a generic system rather than Cook specifically.

You post somewhat contradicts itself.

Chambers was here during the last overhaul - we got relegated.

I genuinely wonder how Paul Hurst would have done with us in League 1? Clearly he was way out of his depth in the Championship but had some success in the lower leagues...

Given the fact he's managed 2 teams that failed to get out of the bottom reaches of Divsion 2 - I think it is a fair assumption that he'd not have done very well.

Spot on !

Chambers was only ever good when Berra was organising the defence.
