I would love to see him back. But really, Cook needs to understand that letting in goals is our problem. Two goals shipped. Every. single. game. It needs to stop, and playing fantasy football is not going to help. Buying more icing doesn't suddenly mean you have a cake. So, if Cook is going to bring in a proper keeper, and ensure that the defence is getting proper training, and that we have sufficient bodies in defence who aren't injured, then yes, by all means add that icing. |  | | |

Aluko feels like a really stupid signing so I wonder if we’re panicking, perhaps because Chaplin’s injury is long term and obviously there was a risk at the time that Celina could be laid up for the season, or longer. Think it’s pretty clear we want to send Dobra out on loan. | |

If you wanted to be extra critical You could also add Piggott, Bonne, Norwood (although injured) in there as we have played a striker in the 10 role.
Also if we did go 2 up top in a 442 it means our wide options have become even more ridiculous as you could use that list to fill in 2 positions rather than 3 | | | |

If you are going to concede 2 goals a game then you need to start scoring 3.
Liked your comparison to icing a cake. The cake ( defence) needs to be properly baked *otherwise the icing( attacking play) is simply covering up inadequacy.
In the case of ITFC it is more Cooked than baked. |  |

Yes Aluko is the sort of signing we’d have made in previous years (probably on a longer contract) and really relied on him coming good. Other than taking up a slot in the squad this is a very low risk signing. |  | | |
