Anyone questioning the signing of Celina needs their head read. We now have two quality players In every attacking position competing for a position - this is really healthy and nothing but.

Although I’m in no doubt we’ve now tipped the scales on wages compared to last season if we hadn’t before, the amount of quality we’ve been able to attract because of our management staff on top of heightened salaries is exceptional.

Now, sort the leaky defence out with a commanding keeper like Walton, a fit Edmunson and hopefully a skipper in Morsy to compliment that midfield.

Just checked Phil’s posts on here and can’t see anything. If he was out to Christmas I doubt we’d be signing him now.

I was thinking surely we wouldn't be that daft - ok, brilliant signing then.

By god you're negative.

Didn't you email the club to demand Lamberts sacking and refuse to put another penny into the club until he was removed?

Well, you won. Now what? Complain again?

Definitely can't see any potential issues with having 20+ players all expecting to start regularly. I'm sure it'll all be fine.

Why do you want players who don’t want to be first team regulars?

And yet 5 easy games into the season we have only 2 points. Let's wait and see that things actually get better rather than assuming they will. We've been here before and my worry is that quite a lot of what is going on feels all too familiar.

We have recruited like a Championship side as was promised; how can any negativity be derived from that? You seem to be worrying about an issue which has yet to manifest itself. If Edwards got injured against Bolton we’d not have that level of quality to replace - now we do, and then some and vice versa.

Outstanding business for this level. Now, let’s see how it unfolds…

Walton and Celina are incredible signings at this level. The only people knocking them are those who are a little bit against Cook and desperate for another stick to whack him with.

If Cook had done nothing and we'd been needing some flair on a wing or more solidity still from the keeper, they'd be the first complaining.

Personally I’m not knocking the signing, but I am questioning it (if you het my drift!) And I’m definitely not looking for a stick to beat Cook with.

Its just that after nearly 20 games in and with 2 different squads Cookie has been unable to create a team here that wins games. It is very odd because he’s done so well everywhere else and I still hope (and tbh expect) it to come right. Only time will tell - but after this length of time I think it’s justified to start having a few questions about what and how he’s going about things.

And we both hope it unfolds well. I've explained why I have reservations, you don't share them, that's fine. Fingers crossed it all works out for us as we really don't want another season stuck in the third tier.

Think couple of weeks back he was passed fit to play.

The other school of thought is Town have moved first on sign8mg him , willing to take the risk that he might not be fit for a while. As I’ve already said , Town are recruiting for the now , whilst concurrently planning for the future in the Championship. We haven’t had forward planning like this for years…if ever!

It's a loan signing, I'm not sure that counts as planning for future seasons.

You seem to be determined to pour cold water over everything. We had a bloated squad and we’ve moved 23 on and sent 6 loan players back. New recruits total 18 with far greater potency and quality throughout. I highly suspect some will move on too or be released ie: Kenlock, Jackson

Seems like you’re rewriting the present.

That 23 players includes people like Barry Cotter, Kai Brown, Zak Brown etc who were never anywhere near anything though

Wright, Pryszbek, Gibbs as well. If we're talking in terms of genuine first team players I'm not sure we've got a leaner squad at this stage.

Nobody knows if those were all easy games yet. We'll only have a real idea of that around half way through the season, when everybody has played everybody once.

He can't play due to his heart problem. He will not be available for a few months.

Is it a proactive 2nd half of the season signing.

That was the case initially but he was cleared to return.
