In the last two weeks since their takeover, the number of revenge murders Taliban forces are alleged to have carried out (including assessments from organisations outside the country) is tiny (20 - 30) compared with those perpetrated by the Resistance in a similar period following the liberation of Paris in 1944 (several thousand). Thus making the French considerably more bloodthirsty then the Taliban. Tho, we will have to see how this situation develops over the next few weeks and months. Some of which depends upon how much control the Taliban leaders have over their allies and associates. | |
