That's possibly the worst thing about the fallout from this.
We're going to hear that tossing phrase every hour, and it'll be as sickening as all those smug "trust the process" types telling us how great everything is still.
This is Paul Hurst in furs. He's been given everything he could possibly want and produced as many inept performances and set the club back massively. We'll be lucky to salvage this season given the massive squad churn, goal difference and damage this is doing to players and fans alike.
If he can produce something approaching 10-12 wins on the bounce, he might be worth persisting with, but even if he somehow rescues this job, massive questions will always remain. This isn't gelling or teething problems, this is simply negligence.
We're an elephant graveyard aren't we? What's more upsetting is Cook wasn't here with baggage and damage, he came when he was still very good and on the up compared to the inter-Mick era of Evans' appointees.

Surely you don't even have to be an exceptional manager to get a side out of the third division with the sort of backing they're recieving, beginning to have a nasty feeling we've got another season to go at this level now though. |  |

It is usual a new manager has to work with the players who are there. There is usually some fallout from broken relationships there too. Th trick is for the new manager to put right the things that are wrong. Cook appears incapable of it. | |
