Deeply odd that they get to negotiate a punishment. What next, an arbitration between a referee and a player about whether he gets a yellow card or a penalty?

They really should have been docked the points last season. This feels a cop-out by the EfL (again)

They were saying on talksport that if Derby didn't accept the punishment then they could appeal and after that take it to court. All of which would have taken over a year. So it is in the league's best interest to get it settled. Hence 9 points rather tha. 12.

Derby are a disgrace. They avoided Fair Play rules buy 'selling their stadium'. They spent more than us consistently and bought not only our players such as Martyn Waghorn for a large fee £5m(whose goals kept them up), but took players we were interested in away with bigger offers.

Massive sponsorship tie in to get Rooney in as manager, Lampard in to raise profile.

How were they allowed getting away with overspending? Because of big crowds on cheap tickets. Disgraceful the whole situation.

Morris admitted today, they delayed resubmitting accounts when challenged last season as it would trigger a 4pt penalty and relegate them.

Wycombe’s owner is now looking to sue for £20m

Penalty this season could be as high as 27pts now with further penalties to be triggered next season too.

Yes that brought me back to the forum, to see if folk had seen it. During our better years under Mick McCarthy we were competing with them, in fact we pipped them to 6th didn't we. I think this shows that the EFL only act when the problem is obvious and clear, as they are required to when a club declares administration. Of course if this shambles had been promoted they would have rolled on.
