a very promising youth teamer the other night. I won’t say who but he was absolutely glowing about Paul Cook. Could not praise the man enough for he has raised the standards, raised the spirits and genuinely gives each youngster his personal time. Cook, Jeffers and Dyer are always offering advice to the young pros are always friendly and approachable. “The atmosphere has never been better” is what he said to me.

I won’t pretend I wasn’t surprised but I’m delighted for Cook today and genuinely want him to succeed here. A top coach and a really top man. COYB

I met cooky and the coaches after the Morecambe game. Really friendly bunch of lads. Hope it works out for them and us!

I think Wolfenden said as much earlier in the season too. Pompey fans are effusive in their praise of him too.

Although it’s great to hear, the bar wasn’t very high for the feel good factor for the past 5 years. That’s said I heard virtually the same when Lambert started.

I get the feeling PC is a pretty nice guy.

Er.No . Most Pompey fans can’t stand him.

Love it when posters present something in their heads as fact.
They love him.
They can’t stand him.
Evidence either way that doesn’t involve ‘my mate knows a Pompey fan’?
Bearing in mind keanish is a 9/11 sceptic, this could be fun.
Seconds out…"

Why make stuff up?

This is not true, sure some may not like PC but the general consensus from their fans is he was well liked at Fratton Park.
