I am watching this game Sky claim to be carbon neutral
Am I going mad or didn’t we claim to be the worlds only carbon neutral pro football club about twenty years ago?

However, the most dangerous leftists of all may be certain oversocia- lized types who avoid irritating displays of aggressiveness and refrain from advertising their leftism, but work quietly and unobtrusively to promote collectivist values, “enligh- tened” psychological techniques for socializing children, dependence of the individual on the system, and so forth.

I think we were entertainment neutral for a while, but we've moved on since then.

This is supposedly the first ever carbon neutral match. From the BBC:

Tottenham are hosting the world's first net-zero football match tonight.

The club has urged to fans to travel sustainably, choose plant-based food options and recycle in the stadium.

It aims to highlight the importance of considering customer interactions in sustainability strategies.

The project has been called #GameZero and also aims to educate football fans on the role of sport in addressing climate change.

They seem to be claiming this match is “carbon neutral”, presumably because Gary Neville got the train and left his AMG home this week.

Much of it seems to be centred on the players using a special bus.

No mention of how the fans got there, the food (lots of meat) served etc.

Fans were encouraged to walk/use public transport/cycle to the game. Geoff Shreeves biked 20 miles to the ground!

The plant based food options.... not for me Jeff.

(Says at the bottom that the regular options are still available!)

Fair play. Carbon neutral still seems a stretch though.

I eat a fair amount of plant based stuff, and honestly its lovely. what it lacks in meat, it makes up for in flavour.

still love a burger, bacon sandwich etc, but the stuff isn't the demon grub many think it is

We’ll be good again... one day
