There is....and a Canadian friend of mine was visiting there yesterday.

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

The town of Intercourse is in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Deep in Amish territory.

Needless to say, the local touristy shops make the most of it

There was a story about a bloke who drove to Germany to watch a football match. He parked on a street and took down the name of it. He then watched the match, could’ve find his way back so asked a police officer for directions for the street. Unfortunately the translation was something like ‘one way system.’ Or something along those lines.

There's a place called 'Chloride' in The Detrital Valley, Arizona that I just had to go to when I saw a sign for it. Half the place was a deserted film set, full on Wild West storefronts and nothing behind 'em. I did find a shop and went in there to be told by the storekeeper 'take no notice of these bums' because the place was full of his family watching telly.

'American author Louis L'Amour visited Chloride sometime between 1927 and 1929 after the Weepah, Nevada goldrush, where he had bought, and then sold, a claim for $50. During his visit the town of Chloride caught fire. L'amour assisted the town citizens in a bucket brigade that ultimately failed to stop most of the town from burning to the ground.'
