so many leftwingers lured to the far right by conspiracy theories. on 08:18 - Sep 23 by BanksterDebtSlave

As per usual nothing on the actual content of the link or acknowledgement of the extent to which old new Labour were acting to sabotage a genuine left alternative. That Badger wants to die alongside you on your hill is a thing of beauty.

I kinda posted link after link over a five year period busting this sort of apologism banksy. Rather than asking me to release some new stuff just put on my greatest hits.

FFS koonters stop embarrassing yourself. The two people Corbyn directed his remarks at were members of a BAME community. Whether they were disrupting his conference or not is irrelevant. Although I understand that one of them has already won the first round of his court case against Corbyn for defamation because he accused them of being disreputable. And their political beliefs are irrelevant.

He othered them. “ having lived in this country for a very long time, probably all their lives, don’t understand English irony.”

It’s saying to them that they are not really English.

Look I have done this to death. The last thing the board wants is me to re post link after link ightingbthis stuff and tbh I dint think this is doing you much good. Stop defending racism.

You will note the (habitually) careful language: ‘the Zionists who were in the audience on that occasion.’ Unless you were one of the named self-identifying Zionist protesters who had disrupted the meeting in question, Mr Corbyn’s remarks about irony obviously do not apply to you.

So back to what I said at the start. It’s not racist if you are only racist to two individuals of a BAME community rather than the community as a whole?

I’m not sure calling two black man a ni**ers and not all black people ni**ers is a defence that you aren’t using racist language banksy.

Or is your defence that because Corbyn felt that these two specific members of a BAME community were being disruptive, it was ok to use racist language towards rhem?

Repeating accusations and shifting to new ones isn’t “busting” anything.

You never addressed the details, just poured on the bad faith readings of situations. And frankly you amplified the voices of people who are untrustworthy in these matters. JLM, the BoD, LAAS, Campaign Against Antisemitism, David Collier, GnasherJew, Ian Austin, John Mann, Margaret Hodge, Luciana Berger, Trevor Phillips, Luke Akehurst, Jonathan Freedland, John Ware, Stephen Pollard ... it’s an almost never-ending list of sh!t talkers and smearers who never had the evidence to back up what they were saying and certainly not to back up the scope of the accusation.

Well done, it worked. But it doesn’t change what people know from the actual details. It never will and I look forward to this whole sorry mess getting explored in the future as an almost total failure of journalism and public discourse that let bad faith political actors set the narrative and destroy anyone who challenged it.

Total bad faith.

Zionists in this very specific context of two actual Zionist campaigners (but in most others too) is nothing like n******.

I’m not sure what’s more worrying. That you don’t know this or that you do, but would use it for your rabid political beefs.

Indeed. Shameless stuff.

A lot of people would have preferred Orban to Corbyn because Orban may be an actual antisemite stoking fears and threatening the safety of Jews in Hungary but hey, at least he’s pro-Israel, islamophobic and anti- the left, right? The Tories tick those boxes and now it seems NeoLabour does too.

Precisely this.

It's no different to had they been wearing Ipswich shirts, and Corbyn had referred to them as "the Ipswich fans in the audience".

Nobody in their right minds would infer that to mean that JC was making a sweeping statement about all Ipswich fans. But then, if you've got a weak agenda to try and prop up, you'll take anything you can get your hands on.

Just making sh1t up about Orban to suit you argument is a bit silly.

And why does Jez's irony comment pass your own personal racism test, purely because he was talking to two people of a particular political persuasion? He still othered them as vaguely non-english or not like 'us'...

I’m not making up stuff about Orban. And I showed my workings by comparing him to the “acceptable” Tories (who’ve also backed Orban) and the current Labour party.

He didn’t “other them”. He compared them, given their reaction, unfavourably to the Palestinian speaker who made an ironic comment in ENGLISH!

But yeah, shorthand he obviously meant that “Jews don’t get irony” ... you just have to really, really, really want to believe that then it’s clear proof.

if you're hoping that by excusing, denying and defending every antisemitic belch that happened under corbyn's leadership you'll end up in the house of lords just like chakrabarti it's not going to happen. he's gone.

I’ll file that under Didn’t Happen.

But here’s a question while you’re here: why hasn’t Corbyn, the “antisemite” remember, been expelled from the Labour Party?

Starmer et al not taking antisemitism seriously or rather that the actual evidence doesn’t stick as Maginn points out? Something’s got to give.

You are deliberately missing the point. Calling them zionists isn’t the problem. The pair would both identify as being so. The racism is the “ having lived in this country for a very long time, probably all their lives, don’t understand English irony.”

It’s saying to them that they are not really English. it’s othering members of a BAME community. Just because you disapprove of somebody’s political view doesn’t entitle you to make a joke at the expense of them being BAME.

Had they been wearing Ipswich shirts but were members of a BAME community, it would be racist to say that “despite these two Ipswich fans living in the country for a very long time, some of them all of their lives, they still don’t get English irony”

You’re saying it’s alright to racially insult two members of the BAME community so long as he doesn’t insult all members of a BAME community.

Shameful defence.

As I said, only if you really, really, really want and need to read it that way.

The context was clear and focusing on what was actually said gets you nowhere.

And again, you should really be complaining about Starmer and Labour for not expelling him if it’s so clear in your mind. Isn’t this an example of them not taking antisemitism seriously?
