Queue jumping on two wheels... 11:37 - Sep 28 with 3683 views | bluelagos | Seen some debate from fellow two wheeled users whether our usual station queue jumping is acceptable when it comes to the current petrol queues. Obviously tempers are high and the usual resignation/shrug from car drivers might be replaced with confrontation if we are seen to be taking the mick. The justifications given are that 1. We only have a short range so need fuel like every 130 odd miles. 2. We are filling up like £15 vs £80 for a car 3. By jumping the queue we rarely hold anyone up. (We can usually use a pump not being used as we can manoeuvre in/out cars and pumps where cars can't) 4. You are sitting in cars with A/C and a radio...we are sitting boiling out tits off and breathing in your fumes. So Twtd car users...Would you expect a motorbike to join the back of a long petrol queue? And would you challenge one who nipped in to fuel up? [Post edited 28 Sep 2021 11:52]

You do wander what someone had to do to get that type of reaction. IF there was like only enough fuel for 1 car and you'd queued for an hour, and some bgger knicked it - can see it kicking off. But seen a few tweets of similar. Crazy times! [Post edited 28 Sep 2021 11:52]

Queue jumping on two wheels... on 11:48 - Sep 28 with 2296 views | Oldsmoker | It's a cut-throat world. Do what you have to do and suffer the consequences of your actions. If you did it to me I'd just wait until you'd finished. I used to be a biker and I lost count of the number of incidents where a car put me in a life threatening situation. Any chance to get some pay-back should be taken and relished.

If they start to prioritise key workers - then it seems not unreasonable to ban pensioners from petrol purchases too. Except ones on motorbikes obs.

"It's a cut-throat world" That's the problem, it might just end up with a cut throat if people lose the plot...

Precisely. I pull aside to let bikes go through jams no problem, but queue jumping right now takes the piss. Wait your turn bikers.

Banning pensioners seems extremely unreasonable to me. Petrol-guzzlers like 4x4 should be banned though, as well as anybody who flies an England flag. Did you know that displaying a GB sticker whilst driving in the EU is now banned. You have to display a UK sticker. That was not an EU decision but the UK govt. Seems they don't consider us 'Great' enough anymore. We could have said it stood for Global Britain but I think we're quietly retiring that idea.

I wasn't being 100% serious tbf. Yeah, have read the 'GB' sticker thing. My bike insurance this year includes European cover and European break down cover which seems to be most wasteful add on I've ever had :-(

Always do, if the station is busy. My pet bug bare is waiting for someone to do their shop before moving their car so I can fuel up. Guessing not many are shopping at the petrol stations at the moment.

I only visit my local 24-hr petrol station at midnight in an emergency if I'm low on baccy and skins.

What if cars are queuing for pumps (say on left side for their fuel caps) and blocking access to pumps on the other side. Would be ok to nip in and use an unused pump, thus holding up no one?

Some loons out there. Suffolk queues are defo starting to ease off from what I've seen. Hopefully in a couple of days it will all be a distant memory. Edit: He's got grey hair! An OAP carrying a knife ffs. [Post edited 28 Sep 2021 12:48]

Just double bag a bin liner. Is perfectly safe way of transporting flammable liquid apparently
