Post of the day (n/t) on 01:08 - Oct 3 by BlueBadger | Ah yes, it's alright if we lose as long as we lose playing Technical Football. We're in the third division. Technical Football isn't a thing here. We ned to win games then, think about Technical. |
However that wasn't the question that was being replied to.

Those desperate to be seen to support Paul iv on 01:06 - Oct 3 by BlueBadger | Balls. You were gutted when Lambert went. I don't think it's overly entitled to expect to win more than 2 in ten with an allegedly Championship standard squad, we came down with a squad more than capable of promotion, even last seasons when it was utterly moribund under a manager that you championed even when it was crystal clear that he was utterly untenable we had one capable of achieving it, you applauded us to relegation because 'it's just better now'. You whined when we sacked Jewell for trying to relegate us. You as as much of the problem as anyone else, this feeble willingness to accept mediciocrity because there was a five minute passage of play in another limp defeat to no-marks in which we knocked it about a bit nicely in midfield. B*llocks to Free Hit culture. [Post edited 3 Oct 2021 13:05]

Those desperate to be seen to support Paul iv on 23:43 - Oct 2 by Strimmer | First 5 games = 3 points Second 5 games = 7 points Demonstrable improvement, for a man that deals only with reality you will no doubt recognise that |
That takes into no account who we played in both groups. We were soundly beaten by Bolton, and did the same to Doncaster So it is more the group those two games fell into, or their clubs league position which is the determining factor ? And that seven points over 5 games would only have us on 60 points at the end of the season.....................mid table
Those desperate to be seen to support Paul iv on 11:14 - Oct 3 with 854 views | LeoMuff | We play better football going forward. I’m of the school that last season doesn’t count, squad proven as not up to the job and of questionable attitude, as referenced by a few insiders after the takeover. So that means Cook has effectively had 10 games, which for me is not enough to decide, I would be giving him until Christmas, unless we completely collapse. The green shoots were there over the 3 games before this one, even the first 45 yesterday sounds acceptable. This is hopefully a set back, the path was never going to be totally smooth with 20 new faces, but I would say he will be gone if we are were we are at Christmas and he can’t really argue with that.

Agree. But not particularly bothered if he goes beforehand; results dependent.

Those desperate to be seen to support Paul iv on 22:19 - Oct 2 by Funge | 'Again, we've no right to expect to be promoted. The entitlement amongst our fan base is mad.' Good god. Christ, Garv, I know I quite literally never agree with you - but you and I see our football club at polar extremes to one another. We're the Man City of L1, with a manager who, by L1 standards (prior to joining us, anyway), is Klopp. Your acceptance of this situation bewilders me. It's not even the acceptance of being average - we're not even that good - but you're honestly on some heavy Beta Blockers if you think this is good Juju. 'This season I've enjoyed the positive approach, emphasis on attacking, and I've enjoyed being (pretty much) the joint top scorers in the division.' Nice one. I enjoyed the Donny game; that's pretty much it. [Post edited 2 Oct 2021 22:20]

Those desperate to be seen to support Paul iv on 13:34 - Oct 3 with 788 views | MrTown | I don’t think anybody is happy with the first 10 of this season. Doesn’t mean that they still don’t support the manager right now. You can be annoyed with the start of the season but still support the manager, they aren’t mutually exclusive. I think anyone who still backs the manager has really low expectations for this club. Thats different to not wanting him actively sacked.

This club has been slowly declining for nearly 20 years, I see no sign that it will stop any time soon. What expectation do you have for this club?

Those desperate to be seen to support Paul iv on 14:03 - Oct 3 with 743 views | leitrimblue | Very little, we sometimes look more likely to score then previous seasons and the Doncaster game (2nd half especially). I would also suggest we have built a much stronger squad then last season. Cook as to win the fans over and as not done that in any shape or form so far. As i said to yer previously, I'm in a slightly unique position that Cook won me over years ago with Sligo Rovers. If he hadn't I would at least be panicking now if not calling for his head. I completely believe he will turn things around if given time. Did not believe this with the 3 previous managers [Post edited 3 Oct 2021 14:12]

Those desperate to be seen to support Paul iv on 10:56 - Oct 3 by Funge | No, but Man City would expect to be challenging at the top of the league - we're nowhere near to that. We should be. It's that simple. Celina, Edwards and Morsy all have designs on playing in the Prem; Fraser, Chaplin, Harper, Bonne and Coulson would all get into several Champ sides; Burgess and Pigott are established at this level. How on earth are people indulging this mediocrity, and continuing to make excuses for a manager who is failing, and failing badly? Doncaster was a lot of fun, no doubt - but it would be a lot more fun if we could have some kind of plan on how to get out of this stupid league. |
I have never agreed with a post more btw. Spot on

Those desperate to be seen to support Paul iv on 23:27 - Oct 2 by Garv | Man City also can't just expect to win the league because of who they are. Do you disagree? It's not about acceptance, but I'm not going to throw my toys out the pram like a stroppy child. I won't accept being mocked for enjoying attacking football and seeing us score goals. Obviously where we are isn't good enough, and I haven't said it is - it's a 46 game season that we're not a quarter into. If you feel that promotion should be a given because we've bought some good players on paper then cool, have a moan. But it isn't. |
Better ask Morsy about this after his wonderful EADT article today.
