reasons for Cooks failure 08:14 - Oct 3 with 1123 viewsHARRY10

1. Long injury list, crippling the squad

2. Too many players from previous managers

3. No funds to strengthen the squad

4. CEO, directors etc not 'football people'

5. Disinterested owners

6. Wrong kind of rain on the pitch

err, that's all ...............for now

7. No backing from the fans - empty stadium

8. No previous experience of how L1 teams play

Three promotions, and was going well in PL until Wigan take over would suggest otherwise though eh!

Poll: Would this current Town team beat the current narwich team

The Op is obviously taking the p1ss, so I thought I would humour him a little.

eh ?

Wigan were never in the PL under Cook

and the 'going well before the take over' had Wigan just as near to relegation as there were to a play off place (without the 12 point deduction)

the season before they finished in 18th place on 52 points

Wigan finished 13th on 59 points in the Championship before the 12 points deduction. That’s certainly not a bad return before all the mismanaging above Cook’s head by the owners.
