I don’t agree. For myself if we were one day bought by one of these despotisms like Qatar et al I would stop going stop supporting and join any protest at the club gates. I struggled a good deal with Evans’ history of aerospace conferences.

I can't criticise the Newcastle fans for welcoming this. There are similarities (albeit at a higher level) to us and Evans. I'd have taken pretty much anyone who was willing spend money on making Ipswich Town more competitive.

Sadly, the amount of money needed to be successful in the Premier League needs ridiculously wealthy people and/or organisations and usually the reason they are so obscenely rich is because they have been morally corrupt along the way.

Until football actually reins all this in rather than trying to find new ways of making the game even wealthier like European Super Leagues then these are the types of people that are going to be funding it. And let's face it, football isn't going to rein it in.

The whole EPL is a race to the bottom. A playground for Oligarchs and dubious money. However personally I would not be willing to have just anyone become our benefactors. Remember the rumours of the Godolphin interest?

Ethically no supporter should approve of this takeover it's disgusting. In all honesty I'd much prefer us being plucky little Ipswich punching above our weight than having such owners.

Tend to agree, but I can't say I wouldn't have welcomed anyone after the years and years of what we had to put up with under Evans.

However, I would dearly love to have someone like the Cobbolds running us and getting us to compete, but with that never going to happen these days, I'm pleased we have Gamechanger. They don't seem reckless, but they're ambitious, willing to spend money where needed. And they're not killing people
