I lost mine whilst swimming at some waterfalls on my honeymoon, got a replacement upon return and lost it again on holiday swimming in the sea a few years later. Should've seen it as a sign all them years ago as the marriage went down the swanny a few years on in spectacular fashion!

Still at least you've got a football team that scores loads and wins games to enjoy.

It happens to the best of us... on 12:58 - Oct 7 with 946 views | borge | Used to take mine off to do DIY. My wife used to get really annoyed at me taking it off. Took it off one day, youngest daughter (3 at the time) got hold of it and walked past my wife. Wife asked her what she had, to which she replied, "Daddy's wedding ring". My wife's failure to then stop her as she toddled off into the garden where she lost it meant her 'you shouldn't have taken your ring off' argument didn't hold much weight....

Things were getting tense yes - if it had been night time, I might have given in more quickly, defecated in the garden and left it for the foxes. Luckily, I found the right utensil before it came to that. (and Badger, you're a brute).

Managed to lose mine on our first anniversary. I only ever took my ring off when I played cricket, and a bit like Murray I used to leave it in my shoes. On this particular day we were playing Felixstowe Corinthians at their ground on Corinthian Drive. They had no changing rooms so everything was done outside on the grass. I can only presume the ring dropped out of the shoes at some point onto the grass but I failed to find it. Even had an appeal for its return published in the EADT, which prompted a metal detector enthusiast to offer to search the area for me, but to no avail. This loss still gets a regular airing 25 years later!

Found the right utensil to sht into? Or to wedge it up? Either might be Normal for Norfolk, I suppose.

I only take mine off to play drums and have frequently left it on the drum kit somewhere and had to find it again in the dark. Thankfully it’s always been there. One of my mates got 90 minutes into the four hour drive for my stag weekend when he realised that he’d left his ring on the bathroom window sill at home. Knowing what a paranoid nutter his then wife was, he turned the car round and got it before she’d even woken up. It didn’t save the marriage, they split up within three years.
