More 'style' than substance 15:48 - Oct 9 with 661 viewsclive_baker

Passing it around comfortably enough in our own third but we've created f*** all. Bonne feeding off scraps, an inability to build on a lead. Very Lambertesque.

I use the word 'style' loosely by the way. This isn't good football. Good football requires directness, unpredictability, a mix of styles, creating in the final 3rd.

This is turgid, at home to a very average side.

First 25 mins was decent. But since then too many players not doing enough. Penney keeps giving the ball away. Fraser doesn’t even look fit. Burns done nothing since the first five minutes. Shrewsbury look more of a threat than us.

I don't understand the admiration of Fraser. He has odd moments of nice stuff, but is largely ponderous. We have no real threat down the left beause it is all so slow there.

The admiration is based on his ability to pass, he's had 1 game as a 10

He's the best 10 in the league and gets stuck on the left.

Considering he’s a 10 and not a winger, it’s no wonder he looks out of sorts on the left - considering the attacking talent we have, the fact Cook can’t get 4 of them playing in their best positions is absolutely criminal

It's embarrassing when you have 2 players on the bench who can play on the left

Yeah started well, but have looked bereft of ideas since conceding. Shrewsbury are perfectly happy to let us have the ball in our half and sit deep. Once we cross half way they press harder. Lets hope we find a way to break them down pretty quickly or it could be a frustrating 45. They've got a few wily heads.

Agree. re. Fraser, wouldn't be surprised to see Edwards on for him to try and make something happen down the left.
