It won’t surprise anyone to know we have the worst save percentage of all 24 teams.
Incredibly though it’s nearly 6% lower than the team in 23rd!
Only a couple of teams have had less shots against than us. So we are very hard to create against but then let half of all shots in! [Post edited 16 Oct 2021 19:15]

Hladky looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights. He’s got no physical presence in thats box at all, and no height, which is probably why he doesn’t come for crosses. The CBS are then charged with ALL the defending of balls into the box.

We have the worst goals against in L1.
Yet we have the second best expected goals against:

Only Rotherham are better chance-avoiders than us in L1, and they've conceded 10 (second lowest in L1) vs our 21.
As Asa pointed out, we have far and away the worst save percent in L1. The second table in his link ( https://fbref.com/en/comps/15/keepers/League-One-Stats) shows individual keeper stats. On 53.1%, Hladky is easily the worst goalkeeper in L1 of those who've played a significant number of games. Massive gap to the next worst: Cambs' Mitov, who also had a shocker yesterday, yet is nearly 10% better on save percent.
Our problem is not the defence, it's the goalkeeper. If Cook doesn't recognise this, and take immediate action, his judgement is in question. We have a slice of swiss-cheese in goal, and will not acheive anything until this changes. | | | |
