Leaving aside today’s game, who do we want in the first round? I hoped one of the minor positives of being in this league would be a cup match against a tinpot club in the first round but we haven’t had that yet. As well as Sudbury, there are some very small clubs in the hat. Bowers and Pitsea, Horsham and Banbury are safely through, with Pontefract Collieries and Corinthian Casuals taking part in replays. If ourselves, Sunderland, Sheff Wednesday or Portsmouth get one of these clubs surely it will be the telly game?

I think the FA changed the rules a few years ago so all ties had to be played as they were drawn. I remember Histon played leeds at their home ground. | | | |

I'd love Sudbury away, the ground backs onto to the old railway line which is now a footpath and you can get a decent view watching from there. There's a couple of trees you can climb that give you a better view of the action than being there at pitch level. |  |

Sadly, the 1st & 2nd rounds stopped being regionalised some years ago. A poor decision IMO as it vastly reduces the likelihood of interesting little local derbies and created some huge trips for little reward. Ipswich Town v Sudbury is an interesting fixture; Ipswich v Wrexham isn't. |  |
