Planning a trip to the Millerntor early December with some mates. Has anyone ever been? Any good hints and tips to share if so?

I take it you are doing the match v Schalke on 5 dec ( I have noticed that it is time to be decided) get in early for tickets as Schalke will take their full allocation, could be very tasty

Yeah correct, it’s a mate’s birthday so are few are heading over. We’ll be there over that duration so if we can get tickets, it’s a no brainier. Seems a lot of their fixtures are TBD. Town don’t have a fixture that weekend so it’s a win-win.

Have spent a fair bit of time in Hamburg, including a few St Pauli games. You’ll have a tremendous time. A lot of fun. Used to stay in Sternschanze, not too far from the Millerntor. It’s a very good place for bars. My local used to be a bar called Das Lemon which has an old school German bowling alley in it. Lots of very good Turkish food as well round there.

Try and get a trip to Miniatur Wunderland as well. One of my favourite places on earth!

It's the FA Cup 2nd round day.

So your point probably still stands

Nice one will check it out. My mate called their ticket office to find out why the games were TBD and they had this to say…

“Unlike English football where you announce every game is Saturday at 3pm then change them…. We wait until we actually know the time and date!”

😂

Was that for seats or on the terracing?

Terracing.

Trying to get tickets via club was a nightmare and didn’t work out in the end.

We went over anyway and scored tickets for all in a bar on Reeperbahn near the club shop (a shop employee told us to go there!).
