Form is gradually improving -3 wins and 2 draws in last 6 league matches. Top scorers in the division and slowly creeping up the League, sort this defensive frailty out and we’ll be in the play-off positions by Xmas!

Yes yesterday was disappointing but looking at it in the cold light of day we should have won it, it’s not like we were crap!

Unfortunately Sunderland and Wigan have got flyers at the top so maybe top two will be too much this season, but anyone who thought that was nailed on was not being realistic given all the changes in the summer. That’s my opinion anyway!

Good post. Fair and reasonable assessment.

Play off s would mean us beating three of the top five over the next elleven games, as well as winning the other five games against the teams that are not in the top five

as to

"sort this defensive frailty out"

that is an effect, not a cause on its own

an effect of having players who cannot give 100% for the whole game, and cannot dominate for the whole 90 mins - if it was that easy to do, it would have been done some while back

perhaps the squad isn't as good as some think

"we'll be in the play-off positions by Xmas"
Please look at our fixtures up to the end of January.
That would be an incredible upturn in form.

Would be nice if he had a Plan B, though!
