Dissertation survey on 17:37 - Oct 17 with 779 views | Nthsuffolkblue | Not sure quite what the real purpose of the survey is. If it is to see how well people recall the sponsor, you should not have stated the intention and drawn particular attention to them before asking the questions and maybe have actually asked for the respondent to name them too!

So there's four teams involved, everyone that participates in the survey is randomly assigned one of the teams. It's a 2 x 2 design so there's two team types (top team and underdog) and then also two sponsor types (congruent football betting sites and incongruent casino sites). The purpose is to see what effect (if any) the size of the team, or the relevance of the sponsor to football has on the recall of the sponsor. I understand your critiques and yes it could've been done in the way you suggested, however I essentially just followed the guidance of my supervisor on the design Thanks for taking the time to reply though, I really appreciate it!
Dissertation survey on 19:32 - Oct 17 with 704 views | Meadowlark | I did it. I answered as honestly as I could, but I think I'm a bit thick when it comes to these things and I didn't really understand what was being asked, And the choice of answers was a bit limited. Anyway. I'm sure you know what you are doing and good luck with the Master's.

I am sure your supervisor knows what they are doing. However, to me it seems a bit like saying: we are going to ask you to remember a number. It will be one of the numbers 1-4 but the point is can you remember it? Your number is 2 alongside a big graphic of the 2 in yellow. Then immediately afterwards asking "can you remember what the number was?" "Did you like the shade of yellow that the number was?" and "Is yellow a nice colour?" I actually have no idea whether the team I was offered is an underdog or not. It is from a league I do not follow. I would say it is not the top team from that league but does it make them an underdog? I would say not because they are a fairly well-known team from that league so would be among the top teams - therefore not an underdog. However, if they were playing PSG or Liverpool they would be. Plus, why would an "incongruent casino site" not be a good fit for a football shirt sponsor? Good luck with your dissertation, although I would be amazed if anyone says they cannot recall the sponsor name.

Dissertation survey on 22:44 - Oct 17 with 566 views | Plums | Done. Good luck with it. It might be interesting to offer a list of sponsors and a list of clubs to see if they can be matched up by recall without you first showing them.
