Tired managers 19:18 - Oct 18 with 821 viewschrismakin

Floated over Markys Post earlier about PC looking tired. Is it just town that appears to make managers look like they never sleep.

Mick. Hurst. Lambert. PC. All started showing signs of distress and tiredness.

I've never really looked at other managers and paid attention to it.. but it's the town job more stressful than others do you think?

He just had a birthday and not long before that he lost his father. I'm sure there are ties between tiredness and those things.

Arguably all the previous managers u mention had the harder task as they had to run the whole club, with virtually no support infrastructure.

Hardly surprising PC is looking tired given the amount of dross done post on here and social media that he has to read . Some Ipswich fans frankly need to give this “ Cook out” shyte a rest and maybe just start getting behind the new regime and yes , “giving it time”!

He doesn't have to read it. And if he does.. he shouldn't.

Nope, it isn't. Many managers look drawn and haggard, especially when on poor form.

Look at Bruce, Wenger, Solskjaer (once the baby-faced assassin), even Fergie (despite rarely not doing well). Football management is stressful and shows a lot on most managers.

I think sports management has a unique timebomb quality to it that adds to the pressure. You can literally see your time running out ahead of you. Do I have 3 games left? 4? 2? They'd need to give a new man a good run at it so maybe they get rid of me by X game?

And also it is a job you can't hide in. Lots of jobs you can coast in, but in football you are generally winning or losing. So no matter how good a game you talk the results are there for all to see.
