Have you forgotten what some of our fans called Mick? it wasn't a ground full. but it was enough. whether it's 1 or 10000 no one deserves abuse for doing a job.

There's a mix of posts, just like social media and other platforms and how it varies vocally in places. Some say a slight negative word, some use the same terms as Bruce has spoken off.
What Bruce is saying is no different to any other manager, just look at what Mick got called, and gets called now at Cardiff. When things don't go the way the fans want, abuse is thrown.
Not sure what you're on about derailing your thread, it's about abuse of a manager.

I can see this thread going the same way.
Always amazed at the people who’ve never managed a football team in their lives, let alone at professional level, but who nevertheless have the strongest feelings and theories about managers and their failings.
It’s not just insane. It’s hugely draining and counter-productive for any club that wants to actually move in the right direction.
Case in point: Was interesting to see the Cowleys on the touch line last night constantly talking but seemingly not making the right decisions. Does that mean they’re suddenly shyte or that they weren’t as good as the hype? Maybe ... or that turning a club around or even keeping a team moving up is one of the most difficult jobs there is.
Fans’ feelings about their club isn’t justification for the sort of second-guessing and hyper-critical nonsense we’ve become accustomed to. |  |

I've not classed it as the same. I've also repeated it in this thread its not just about the terraces. However negativity breeds abuse. Without negativity the abuse wouldn't start.
Bruce mentioned the desire of him to fail. It's exactly what some journos do to managers it is what sells
Some fans feel the same.. if they've let a favorite or 2 go for example.
Podcasts clinging onto every negative to push their agendas etc
