New owner: I would like us to make a marvelous signing in the January transfer window!
Newcastle: OK

It would be the funniest and most wonderful thing if Newcastle got relegated.

I'm assuming a lot of the statements coming from Newcastle's new owners will be made in tents!

Difficult to attract a really big signing for a struggling team, especially in January. Chatting to a mate who is a huge Newcastle fan, he said that they are desperate to appoint a British manager, and the favorite, unsurprisingly , is Shearer.

That would be funny. To replace Bruce with Shearer. It would be akin to us replacing MM with Hurst wouldn't it (aside from Shearer's club connections which would mean they would take longer to sack him).

As for them getting relegated, the only issue with that is there would be one fewer slot for us to aim at for promotion next season (assuming we are up).

Might make our first-time promotion to the Prem more difficult next season though!

New contract for the provider of whips for public floggings? Perhaps a huge new vendor for the knives used to chop off peoples hands? Or a flashy new third party provider of torture techniques? Maybe a new marketing company to help "strategise" the oppression of women? So many options!

You'd then just have some fans declare it was part of the process and you can't judge them on the previous 20 games.

Or something like that...

No way on earth they’d appoint Shearer.

Balls to the Premier League. I honestly don't want Town up there.

Then what's the point?

Why not find a non league team to support or a team in Norway? Would you activate hope we lost if we got to the PO final? You don't want to see Town playing the biggest teams in the game?

No I honestly don't. I hate everything about the PL. I realise it's what the club is aiming for, by default but I think I would lose interest if we got there.

I couldn't be further apart from your view.

I want to see us at Old Trafford and Anfield again before I peg it. I've seen more than enough of us at the likes of Rotherham and Lincoln

I'd take either to be fair. I'd even go as far to say I'd take the 1995 visit to Old Trafford as well !
