Yet more daft defending... on 18:58 - Oct 30 with 744 views | chrismakin | I see people say that needs to be coached put of the game. But how on earth do you coach players on things they've not done yet.. unless I've missed penney letting a cross go like that before? All we can do is make sure he's spoken to and not to do it again. But why as a player do you do such things in the first place.

And..you need good coaches, not just your mates.

And, of course, one of the problems with the 1st is that its right on HT. Hmm, 2nd was a good move, altho Evans (I think...) looked like he was caught on his heels. Penney had a mare today; I quite like him, but absolutely Coulson should be coming in, if possible.

Exactly. Because Roberts and Kitman Craney are not it. Game management can be taught too but there’s been no evidence of that over 15 games as well as last season. So an assistant manager would help in that regard. We have very good players for this League and we are so much more physically competitive but the coaching side is woeful. And just to throw in a bit of controversy, Kenlock, whose career has been put on hold, would probably have played considerably better than Penney today.

Yet more daft defending... on 19:11 - Oct 30 with 656 views | footers | When we played a back five to start with... Our defending really needs to get better and quick. I hoped that Edmundson and Burgess were starting to form a good partnership but that's now been distrupted due to form and injuries. The surprise package this season for me has been Donacien (as well as Bonne, obv) but we really haven't settled on any back four as yet which is a worry. What do we do with KVY, Coulson, et al? What is our preferred defensive four? Or, indeed as of today, five?

I don't think a lack of left-backs was our issue today. Only hindsight would have put Kenlock ahead of Penney.

Now that is a coaching issue as its happening every week I've never understood how some sides let crosses in with time to place it.

Penney was off it today especially first half but hang on, he wasn’t on his own Why not play Coulson on left wing- he was just as bad on the right Chaplin didn’t play through the lines Bonne should’ve /could’ve scored 2/3 yet all blame is on Penney We analyse, work hard and get better at both ends of the pitch !!!

What surprised me was PC saying Chaplin hadn't trained all week. So why not play Harper or Pig in the 10 then. It's not a good look for a manager to pick a player who's not trained all week. And it showed too.
