After a dreadful start to the season we need a string of wins and have the capability to get them. But we are horribly inconsistent, sadly. Games will hopefully remedy that. it’s a long season.

Oh feck off… let me leave it to a Mackem fan on the way out to get your head†on 17:16 - Nov 20 with 1486 views | unstableblue | … straight Spoke to a Sunderland fan leaving the game: “You’re the best team we’ve played this season, we were sh!t, but our keeper pulled off a triple save, and it was daylight robbery, 0-0 was all we deserved” Loads of positives but when you miss 4 gilt edge chances away from home when in the ascendancy, then you give the opposition a chance.

Well there’s 9 teams above us in the league at present. Therefore, 9 managers doing a better job than Cook. Let’s try there for starters?

Which one are you going to take? They’re already in a job. Why exactly would they give up their secure job to come to a lower placed club who have just fired a manager three or four months into a season with a completely new team? Do you think Richardson is going to give up Wigan? Warne Rotherham? Johnson Sunderland? Would you prefer the Portsmouth manager whose team we hammered just a few weeks ago? The only alternative to Cook at this time is an unemployed failure and surely we’ve had enough of the Lamberts and Jewells of this world. Stick with it. We will improve, if not this season then next.

Absolutely. So far have not seen anything to suggest he can make us more than a mid-table side. Awful manager.

If Sunderland had lost today I think Johnson could have been sacked.

Sorry, but Cook just ain’t it. on 18:18 - Nov 20 with 1114 views | jasondozzell | Absolutely ridiculous. Where has the concept of support gone? Support does not mean only getting behind the team when they win. Cook has assembled a new side that we've enjoyed watching, we've been improving, we were the better side today. Cook will get it right.
Sorry, but Cook just ain’t it. on 18:19 - Nov 20 with 1103 views | pointofblue | Cook has under-achieved since joining us but it's not time to sack him yet. Think we need seven out of nine from the next three though, plus a win over the Arsenal youngsters and Barrow. Considering two of those three games are against Rotherham and resurgent Charlton it'll be tough to get to seven but we should be capable of it. [Post edited 20 Nov 2021 18:31]

As others have said. As a one off you'd say grrr how annoying. But in league 1 after the start we had and the catch up we need to reach top 6 minimum, today's result isn't good enough. Even a draw is 1 point and stops them getting 3 on us. We couldn't even do that. PCs game management again went out the window.

Although that improvement has, at best, plateaued. We followed 3 points from our first 6 games with a big improvement to take 11 points from our next 6. From this last block of 6 we've managed 10 points. So the improvement seems to have stalled somewhat of late at a time when we really needed to continue improving in order to push up the table and close on the top 6.

So Cook's future should rest on this one game? We had a big overhaul. We have improved. We've had some brilliant results and performances. We're all impatient for immediate success but it won't happen in one go. We're on an upwards trajectory. We create chances. Club feels more united and optimistic than it has in ages. Getting rid of Cook now surely madness. Far more fun to support the team, through ups and downs! Pep didn't win anything in first season at City. Should be have been sacked?

We've not discussed PCs future. But you saying lack of support for people being disappointed with today.. it's not. Its incredible frustration of not picking up at least a point

Agree but still think we can be optimistic. Lots of games left and we have a strong squad with depth and I wouldn't be surprised if there are one or two moves in Jan.
