I do wonder whether we’re fighting yesterday’s battles 12:03 - Nov 24 with 304 viewsHullblue

This 4231 with emphasis on switching the play doesn’t seem to break teams down the way it has done for PC in the past.

He himself has commented on the number of great coaches in League 1, and I do wonder whether their complexity has just taken him by surprise at times.

I do think he seems like a good figurehead for the footballing side of things, and I can imagine the players liking him, but that doesn’t seem to be enough any more.

Thing is, if we replaced him, would we make a forward-looking appointment? A young, innovative coach? Or would it be a big name from the managerial circuit who is largely similar to Cook? I suspect the latter, although that’s purely based on the fact that I think Ashton’s last appointment at BC was Nigel Pearson.

As it is, I think we’ll win on Saturday and forget about this poor form for a bit. Then start asking questions again when we hit another tough run of games.
