Anyone want to discuss... 13:02 - Nov 24 with 3706 viewsfooters

... anything not related to how crap we were last night/whether Cook should remain or not/potential line-ups/what the feck's gone wrong this season etc?

Anyone tried the new Pret Christmas sarnie? Quite the banger.

That's all I've got for now. Other suggestions welcome.

Am not a fan of the bagel, just don't get it. Worse then the ciabatta. I fear I may secretly long for sliced white bread. I do enjoy a scotch bap as well

Bagels are horrible tasting things.

Brioche are breakfast rolls only and have no place anywhere else.

I'm not really a Bond kinda guy but that's clearly the obvious answer. Now I'm intrigued...

Maybe Blofeld?

I have to say, not that big a fan of a plain bagel, but a sesame seed or an onion one are oft enjoyed.

But they're not as good as a stotty - Newcy brought some down a while back, and untouchable as a base for a bacon breakfast treat.

I know it's wrong but I love bacon sarnies on crap white sliced bread with tons of Keerygold butter. Would definitely try it in a Stotty if can find one

Absolutely. There's summat wrong with a bacon sarnie on fancy bread. Bacon and avocado on sourdough at 8 quid a throw? Get to feck.

Now, some Mighty White packed with slices of Bacon Grill? That is the taste of my youth. Bit like Proust with his madeleine, what what.

Oversized pretzel.

A mate of mine used to have an M&S bagel filled with salmon and cream cheese every Saturday for breakfast.

Surely the filling was just to cover up the taste of the bagel.

Utterly pointless when he could have had something nice to eat.

Good to see you too.

That sounds like an intriguing carb overload. Might have to check it out.

Costa's coffee is the absolute pits though.

There is a Brosnan-era Bond villain. And the names of both the character and "actor" have a metallic ring to them...

Does mighty white still exist? Was life changing at the time. Talking of a 8 quid bacon an avocado sourdough (does sound quite pleasant) my mother called me yesterday just to tell me she had been charged 20 quid for 4 doughnuts over the weekend... She was gobsmacked an still slightly shocked about it.

Exactly, surely the extra thick filling is just an attempt to distract you from your bad bread choice

Clear to see we are missing what the formation requires, which is attacking full backs, that's what this system is about and without them it is alarming to see just how average we are, the midfield seems to be about holding shape to let the width flow, January needs to be fully focused on those full back positions because we need an extra pair on both sides.
As good as he has been, Donacien does not fit with the system, it's pretty clear to see that.

This forum is obsessed with 2 up front but I can't see it working for us, this is the same formation that gave us the 34 goals in the first place, the recent goal drought isn't a striker problem but the actual players in the system for me. It doesn't click properly without those forward thinking fullbacks.

But what do you think about bagels?

And what Bond villains have metal teeth?

Unpopular but I only watch things made by the old trio from Top Gear because I can't stand much else on TV, Netflix or Amazon.
