Going to be an interesting 24 hours. 17:33 - Nov 28 with 4995 viewsJ2BLUE

If he's still here in 24 hours I think he'll get the season.

There is not a better time to act than now with two meaningless cup games. .

You're absolutely right of course he's going nowhere just the same as the team. I am sure there was some clause somewhere set by Evans that said we could not sack the manager this season. And that is why we will still be playing 3rd division football next season.

Thing is , ( and I can’t find the quote by O’Leary, that I saw today on FB I think it was) when he said soon after the take over etc.

“That (to paraphrase his comments)……”promotion to the championship was the first goal, at the earliest possible moment, but if i5 takes 2-3 years then so beit”

So the new owners are, like us, wanting promotion ASAP, but that they ( unlike man6 fans), are realistic to acknowledge that it may take a couple of years. I doubt the6 are deviating from that strategy at present and certainly not after 19-20 league games.

Why are people obsessed this is going to happen? It’s not, move on. The board have said as much countless times. Sack Cook after a win ala the Scummers and Farke…???

Hasn't done them any harm.

I don't think there's any chance of PC's job being in any immediate danger.

It should be though. He's failing miserably

Why not? Farke did

I read his post match comments. It’s all logical, honest and makes sense. I then read your posts which say the same thing over and over again without countering anything that Cook has said despite you being at PR today.

Cook has my confidence to pull us through this and weed out the issues. He’s trying tweaks to the system to find the right balance; I can’t say the same for your array of posts today.

I don't think we will sack him off the back of beating Crewe. Had we lost or even drawn it might have been feasible.

If we are still a long way short of the top 6 by the end of December then I think the owners may want a new man to oversee the January transfer window. I would be surprised if they are not keeping abreast of the availability of a couple of managers already.

I think that if we are nowhere near the play offs after the Sunderland game then he's toast.

if we play poorly and are beaten in front of the three lions i think they'll act there and then.

Hey now, hey now, don't dream it's over

Then we'll be looking for a new manager over Christmas who will have virtually no time to assess the squad.

Can't see the logic in it. I really think if he's here at 5pm tomorrow he's here for the season. In fact, I believe that so much that if he is here at 5pm tomorrow I will do my best not to say another negative comment about him and give him my full support.

It's possible he can turn this around just increasingly unlikely.

Just after beating 'them' too.

TWTD.

Yes, we’d just beaten Norwich and deservedly so.

Kicking him out then wasn’t very classy - and didn’t feel right at the time, even though I thought at the time he wasn’t the long term answer. Little did I know the depths we would plumb to.

At the time, Magilton was under so much pressure. Fans were basically expecting more and wasn't the end of his era where Bedsheet Rich raised his head? The general belief was that he was at the end of his time and couldn't do anymore despite the money available.

Norwich were an absolute mess heading into that derby game so to 'only' win 3-2 was not seen as a positive result - very much like today, really.

I wouldn’t have thought we are anywhere near his job being in jeopardy, and nor should it be.

We need to improve, nobody I suggest thinks otherwise, including PC.

Still think long term he is the right man.

It won’t be, but it should be.

We are no further ahead with regards to gelling or looking like a functioning team than we were when Cook had the players that he didn’t rate last season. Only difference now is we have a bit more quality but we’re still a bang average league 1 team that has just had a lot of investment

I though Bedsheet Rich went back to Royle’s time, but thinking about it, you’re probably right.

I think the view of Jim was that he tried his best but had limitations. He did too. Watching the players flee to the other side of the pitch when he was raving was always amusing. Not that this aspect improved when mad Roy rolled in.

The other aspect to Jim was that people perceived he was only employed because he was cheap. With that hanging round his neck it was never going to be easy. Personally I felt at the time we could do better. That went well.
