Come on MarkyP, why the downarrow? I'm interested to hear people's thoughts on this. Can only be a matter of time now before we get the first woman EFL manager.

Trust the process. Trust Phil.

As long as they were a decent manager, obviously, I'd more be proud of the club's pioneering approach.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

See what you did there.

It would be cool to see a female manager in the mens game. There's enough male managers in the female game. My only fear would be if it ended in tears, which lets be honest most managerial appointments do, the reaction from some morons would no doubt cite gender as a factor and it would be horrible for the individual in question. Would love to see a female manager absolutely tear it up somewhere.

Emma Hayes is killing it in my current FM2020 save. She's probably going to get the ipswich job before me.

For larger clubs the tactical side of things should largely be handled by an specialist assistant/coach, and the manager should be a figurehead who rather than micro-manage every detail of how the club is run, is more of a figurehead who oversees and takes overall responsibility for the various aspects of the first team football (fitness, tactics, coaching, transfers, player morale).

Women (to generalise) are more likely to have good interpersonal skills, humility, empathy and communication skills (they make much better political leaders for example) which would make them (on average) much more suited for this kind of role than men.

In case you're interested my downvote wasn't for the suggestion of a female manager but for your pathetic clickbaity 'look at me' thread title.

The manager can be a woman, a Jack Russell or Darth Vader (my choice) for all I care. Are the any good at their job is all that matters.

He's on the train to Charlton with me, I took him up on his kind offer. We're 20 minutes in and he's on his 3rd brew.
