Not for moment suggesting that he should be Cook's replacement, just that a podcast has recently appeared on BBC Sounds called 'Sacked In The Morning' (apologies if this link has already been posted, for some reason the forum has been a bit busy in the last few days):

Poll: What was in Wes Burns' imaginary cup of tea ?

There was an interesting one on there recently with Terry Butcher talking about what it takes to be a captain, and the differences between his day when it was all about leading on the pitch to now where it's a much more pastoral role behind the scenes and link between the management and the players. Those who used to slag of Chambo as a bad captain would do well to listen for a different perspective.

I've never been be able to take Phil Brown seriously since he gave his Hull team a dressing down on the pitch in front of the cameras.

Poll: Do you think Pert is key to all of this?

I'm listening to the Phil Brown one now and he has just regaled Craig and Amy with a story of getting the assistant post at Blackpool with a phone call from Sam Allardyce - 'Where are you at the moment?' asks Fat Sam, 'I'm in the local snooker club' says Brown, 'Well that's a weeks wages docked for a start'...

There is an interesting background to that half time lecture on the pitch shortly after half an hour into the programme.
