The Ipswich Cycle is back again… 22:58 - Dec 7 with 503 viewstractorshark

Blame the manager
Blame the players
Eventually we’ll blame the owners
And then we’ll go round and round again.

I was not convinced by Cook and in all likelihood I think we would have lost tonight with him in charge.
But I don’t think it would have been as shambolic and I was surprised we pulled the trigger when we did.
It may well prove the right decision, Cook’s record was very average, but I suspect it will condemn us to another season in League One.
The names being mentioned are very underwhelming. I just hope the owners had someone in mind otherwise it makes absolutely no sense.

We’ve already started moving up the food chain. Ashton is in the frame now.

First time I’ve actually been a little nervous about the new owners.
Let’s be honest, I don’t think they know a great deal about English football.
But the PR has been good, the enthusiasm has been excellent and they’ve backed us on and off the pitch.
But the sacking of Cook is at best ruthless and at worst knee jerk.
Understandably the Americans will want a return on their investment and the sooner the better.
But what happens if we don’t deliver? Not every club gets promoted to the Prem.
I hope this next appointment will be thought through and given time.
