Can’t believe I’m saying this 09:19 - Dec 16 with 1762 viewstextbackup

But I’d have ‘him’ back to wallop a few fcks and cnts into this lot. Organise them to learn the basics, and get the basics mastered…

A young coach here right now is not what we need, it’s too much of a mess to even consider that.

I mean purely to get some sort of shape installed in their brains.

I can’t believe the new lot are as clueless and hapless as the last lot.

Only at town could this happen

There's a saying that you cannot hate what you never loved, I think that applies here. I wouldn't want Mick back to be fair (and I'm sure you're not entirely serous either), we need to be looking forwards rather than backwards.

Keane would be useless. He wouldn't be able to comprehend the players lack of drive, determination and ability. Much rage would be deployed at their useless weakness, but that wouldn't have any positive effect upon the pitch.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Yeah of course but a good job for your 1st job.

McKenna is meant to be an outstanding coach but when I see him
On the touch line his demeanour just looks completely dull. That’s the impression I get any way.

Just because a coach might be young, it doesn’t mean he can’t bite.

Tho could he command the respect of the players? Hurst/Doig allegedly could bite, but it caused the wrong reaction.

Agreed, I fear the same outcome, there is something inherently wrong with this squad of players.

They’ve been brought in by a manager they love playing for… and he’s gone.

A young coach gets completely overlooked by Morsy etc imo, too big to listen to ‘that’ guy

It depends on a lot of things of course. How the squad react to him, and how he’ll deal with those who react poorly.

It’s fairly obvious one or two will have to leave, because usually in an underperforming group, it can be driven by a minority. Being amongst the group is the only way to identify those players. The club thankfully now has the funds to replace players that leave.

I think the biggest thing that's wrong with them is an absence of leadership, organisation, and coaching. I don't think any of these players have come here with reputations for being bad apples, quite the opposite in a number of cases. You can see that confidence is low but good players can get through that by falling back on familiar patterns of play and maintaining their shape and organisation. We lack all of those things which is why we look so abject as soon as our confidence is dented.
