Do the player need a rocket, or could it be done another way? Use tactics and innovation to get the best out of the personnel we have, rather than shoutily forcing them into someone's preferred framework? Get the squad motivated by involving them in a system which produces results, which engages their brains and gets them enjoying playing again?
One has to be careful about allowing a desire for revenge after the disappointment and embarassment of recent games to override the need to fix our problems in the right way and move forward. | |
