I think you're most contagious in the few days before symptoms (which is why people should do LFT's even if they aren't feeling unwell).
I was at Charlton but avoided it. Have decided against today as I'd miss Christmas with overseas family and a trip we've paid for NYE. Properly jealous of those going, but will settle for ifollow on the sofa. |  | | |

We had Christmas day in the middle of last summer. I highly recommend it. We did the whole dinner, Christmas films, crackers, jumpers, the lot. There was something very cathartic about the day.

This doesn;t match me and my family's experience tbh and not to be all fighty about it.
I know for a fact that I could only have got it from a contact last saturday who I spent the day with. Symptoms came on on Monday night. Likewise mrs ulla had caught it off me by Weds, after I;d been back with her on Sunday.
Think Omicron might be different, although obs I know nothing.
