"None of this mid-table business, I think any half-decent manager can get teams to mid-table in the Championship."

A) it’s a stupidly fantastic thing to say when you’re obviously trying to impress the fans despite having no clue what you’re doing or saying and B) a not insignificant amount of people lapped it up like pigs at the trough and continued in that vein when cheering us to relegation under Lambert.
