Funny that. The more tests you do tends to be because theirs more symptoms of covid going on leading to higher cases. No one tests for the fun of it

But less deaths so therefore life gradually gets back to normal as people become less fearful.

time to change the record pal. Yes, it is a serious illness but it's weakening and we simply cannot lock ourselves away forever. Protect the vulnerable and the healthy can continue to live their lives. The answer to the 'overwhelming the NHS' narrative is for this useless self serving government to fund it and staff properly and responsibly. No more sensationalist fear mongering please.

Keep in mind that from this forum - BlueBadger has probably witnessed the most people dying in front of him as a result of covid. I would say he's earned his spot on that hill. [Post edited 22 Dec 2021 20:55]

Oh, do piss off, there's a dear. Spare me your patronising 'we have to learn to live with it' horsesh1t. People will die, directly and indirectly as a result of uncontrolled spread, yet again. We have neither the capacity nor the staff for another surge of ANY size right now. People will die because they can't get diagnostic procedures in time, people will die because they can't get planned and emergency procedures in good order, people will die because they're on trolleys or waiting in ambulances and people will die because of unchecked virus spread. Again. All the selfish c**ts in this thread banging on about 'learning to live' with the preventable deaths of people because they don't want to mask up or miss a f**king football match can go and sh1t a hedgehog, frankly. But surely if these vaccines work then covid gets exactly the same treatment as the flu and we carry on . Unfortunately both will kill people each year but we try and live with covid as we do with the flu.

The fact of the matter is, we're not there yet. We want it to be - but we're not.

Right now though....Covid is killing more than flu....even Omicron. So...right now...the flu approach isn't enough?
