Can anyone explain to me the massive range of prices for electric toothbrushes? My 4 year old 'Fairywill' rechargeable job has packed up finally and I'm looking at Oral B options from £7.50 to £560.00.

I don't get it, do the £400+ ones w**k you off whilst cleaning your pearly whites or something, or do they serve some other porpoise?

I've stripped down and had a quick look at the old one, and it's not gummed up with anything. I've cleaned the microswitch with contact cleaner; the damned thing's just reluctant to go, it has a little buzz and then stops, so much to my chagrin, I will have to recycle it.

I think the more expensive ones are tingle tip compatible.

Miss Slave says there is somedody on faceache who replaces batteries (someone might do it over there too)or go for the pro3 3800. Unless you want lots of settings.

Is that like Rampant Rabbit?

This brings back a vague memory from some time in the 90's. If I recall correctly there was a film made centred on the rampant rabbit and they filmed a s scene at Portman Road which was supposed to show how the device had inveigled its way into popular culture so much that football crowds now sung 'the referee's a rabbit'. However, no matter how hard the film crew tried to orchestrate it, the FPR faithful persisted in singing the more traditional version so they had to dub it in the film.

Anyone else recall that or am I experiencing a false memory.

Edit: Found it, it was later than I thought, the film was Rabbit Fever

Rabbit Fever, the movie partly filmed at Portman Road a couple years ago, hits screens in London from today. The North Stand was filmed chanting various things rabbit-related at the Plymouth game in September 2004, but wasn't always willing to take direction. 0

I'm sure you'll all be very relieved to know that after fiddling around with it, and jabbing at it a bit with my multimeter probes, it seems to have started working again. Maybe a dry joint that I prodded into contact accidentally? Time will tell I guess.

I still cannot for the life of me understand how anyone would pay £560 for one, I guess it's a c**k waving thing.

I recall that, it had faded from memory until I read your post but I remember it now.

I was in the Pioneer watching the guys tearing their hair out as the NS refused to sing what was asked of them. Very amusing.

No idea when I began here, was a very long time ago. Previously known as Spirit_of_81. Love cheese, hate the colour of it, this is why it requires some blue in it.

As I recall whilst the tape was rolling the NS, as you say, refused to sing anything other than the traditional form of the chant.

When the engineers had given up, packed up their gear and were half way back to the tunnel a chant broke out .... "The referee's a rabbit" sung the NS.

If that's not how it happened it should have been,
