I am starting to genuinely believe he wants out and is trying to convince The Tory party to get rid of him ASAP.

He's always come across a bit like Paul Lambert in that he doesn't like being challenged, is patently incompetent and idiots worship him because he used to be good at pressers but he's now in the endgame.

If he bans Phil from Number 10 we'll know the game's up soon.

I'm one of the people who was blamed for getting Paul Cook sacked. PM for the full post.

No. That is defunitely what he is about.

Like most narcissists he has an over inflated sense of his own being. He does not see failing as an MP, London mayor and being sacked for lying and obliged to resign as Foreign Secretary as failure. Nor in his private life where the notable points are his constant lying a cheating.

He believes that 'Cometh the hour, cometh the man'. Which may well be true as the hour has came, but he certainly is not the man. From not locking down, the failed world beating track and trace, on holiday when the virus was increasing at an alarming rate, billions lost when there was no control over PPE - he has been a walking disaster.

More focussed on delivering some absurd scheme - water cannon, garden bridge, double decker buses (all costly failures) to a bridge over the channel and a tunnel under the Irish Sea.

Not so much Sinbad the Sailor - but Windbag the Failure.

Anyone who enabled this gibbering cretin should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, especially if they still support him. He’s an embarrassment to the UK.

Yes, but Stafford Cripps...

I'm trying to decide which of them should be most embarrassed by the comparison...

You don't spell the phrase 'highly experienced and well-respected scientists' with the word 'communist'.

Don't dismiss it too lightly. Looking at the full list of SAGE members what about

Professor Jonathan Van Tamishenko
Professor Dame Angela "Don" McLean
Dido Harding-in-plain-sight
Professor Tom Roddenberg

?

Is this person onto something?

In a real sense, no-one deserves Boris.

Funny how it's only reasoned discussion when the argument comes from the left! Its not test refusal, covid denial or anti vax, but many members of the scientific community are well known communists who are using the pandemic for their own political means, unfortunately many on the left refuse to accept this.

Seems to think he's a modern-day Winston Churchill when he isn't, on pretty much any level I can think of - except perhaps coming up with madly impracticable ideas.
