Think this is a bit weird... First paragraph is "Sidney Poitier, who has died aged 94, once turned down the role of Othello because he did not want to be typecast as a black actor."

But the title literally reinforces the stereotype he wanted to avoid "Obituary: Iconic black actor Sir Sidney Poitier".

What do people think? Am I reading this incorrectly? Or is it a disrespectful and uneasy juxtaposition?

The Guardian has recently been printing a lot of obituaries authored by people who predeceased their subject. Rather obviously on file, just waiting for someone to press "go".

Good Lord! Whatever is it?
