I suspect at Brighton's end it's all wishful thinking, pumped up by journalists talking out of their hole. Alan Nixon was saying they'd do well to get £500k for him the other day, but that Ipswich were struggling to afford the fee yesterday. The former is wildly optimistic considering the clubs mooted to be involved and his contract situation. The latter's unlikely, even at the (optimstic) quoted price. Reality is there's maybe 1 or 2 Champ clubs who'd want him as number 1, but wouldn't pay more than a negligible fee to get him before the Summer. | |
