Meanwhile, ITV have got West Ham vs Leeds. Why do the BBC and ITV think that we want to watch two teams who play each other all the time playing each other again when there are genuinely interesting ties being played out?

West Ham v Leeds is not exactly a thriller either! That said, both Spurs and Liverpool have got mostly second string teams out, so possibly right not to have those games on either.

Leeds deserve to lose for those numbers on their backs alone.

Because they didn't realise Liverpool would have a Covid outbreak or Tottenham would lay down and have their tummy tickled at home to Morecambe? If the lower league side had been at home they would have been picked without question; when the higher league side hosts the risk is of a dull thrashing.

But the potential of a shock is far more tantalising to most neutrals though surely? Who cares about seeing whether West Ham or Leeds' reserves come out on top against each other? Whereas if Morecombe or Shrewsbury or even give them a game, even against their reserves, it would be phenomenal to watch! Granted, you can't guarantee it and it is unlikely, but that's what makes such shocks so special. Unlike a PL side beating another PL side.
