There’s a good piece in the NY Times today about Johnson, worth reading. Hoping Starmer would steer us away from Autocracy, lining friends pockets, controlling the press (not Johnson but his masters) and a lack of truthfulness.

Can't say I'm bowled over by KS particularly, but I at least think he's of sound morals which is a massive step up on Johnson. Having a PM who isn't a lying, self serving charlatan should be a given really, but sadly it's not at the moment.
I find it odd that people are still defending Johnson. Is it out of a sense of loyalty or embarrassment because they voted for him? I don't think that's relevant. He's lied to everyone, the people that voted for him and those that didn't. His voters should be as angry as anyone. It's offensive how he's treated the people he purports to serve, while some were making ultimate sacrificies he and his colleagues were laughing at as. It's insulting. He thinks he's above us. He's not, he's not above me. Or you. he's an absolute c*** and he shouldn't just be thrown out of office but he should be thrown into prison. |  |
