Current isolation rules… 14:46 - Jan 14 with 1142 views | SitfcB | Trying to find out for sure what you’ve got to do this time round. Will be the third time isolating and think it’s been different every time. Only been jabbed once (just for reasons) Mrs has tested positive on LFTs this morning. Do you follow the new 7 day isolation rules due to only one jab? I see the 5 day one doesn’t come in until Monday or is it the full 10 still? [Post edited 14 Jan 2022 15:02]

Current isolation rules… on 14:49 - Jan 14 with 1073 views | Guthrum | It's only seven days if you test negative on days six and seven. Otherwise it's ten.

Current isolation rules… on 14:51 - Jan 14 with 1064 views | StokieBlue | I might be wrong here but I believe that being single jabbed is equivalent to being unvaccinated with regards to the rules so you're supposed to isolate for 10 days. "There is no change to the guidance for unvaccinated contacts of positive COVID-19 cases, who are still required to self-isolate for 10 full days after their date of exposure to the virus." https://www.gov.uk/government/news/self-isolation-for-covid-19-cases-reduced-fro Hope your partner is well and that you don't get it. Yes that’s what I thought. Yes fine thanks, no symptoms. Only did a test as she was going round someone’s to get her hair done. Hopefully it’ll stay away from me this time.

minus "you plank" I agree with footers. An unscientific sample of one, my daughter is immune suppressed, her father in law tested negative spent the day with her, no ventilation, went home woke in the night and felt dreadful so took a test and returned a positive LFT and PCR. Had mild cold symptoms but very very weak and tired for two weeks. Daughter did not catch it even though her white blood cell count was very low at the time. The vaccine really does seem to help prevent the spread of covid as well as illness. She has her 4th vaccine in two weeks to try and give some protection, she is hoping for side effects so that she knows her immune system has responded to the vaccine, which it didn't for the first two. Stay safe.

Ten full days , the day you test positive doesn't count so it is really 11 days.
