And unfortunate for the owner who had to put up with his company...

A little curious how that works. Does the foundation get all the winnings without any of the expenses? Or does the foundation pick up both?

No idea to be honest. Might get a small percentage of any winnings, and obviously got the naming of it.

Good question. And if charity personnel are traveling the country to follow the horse, who picks up those expenses?

Wouldn’t say that without knowing. I know it’s free entry to the course for the owners and associates. There’s always expenses when it comes to a charity anyway isn’t there?

And what about the training expenses too? I can't believe that KBF owns this horse even though I think I have been led to believe that. It would be a very odd thing for a charity to be involved in, for sure... Is it simply a naming deal, for publicity (which would be fine, i think)? But Malcy has been quite clear that he gets owner's rights.. A bit odd. Maybe someone from KBF could clarify?

.....essentially a syndicate. Membership is cheap, probably a couple of hundred quid a year. I expect the the KBF has just got the horse named for a bit of publicity. At worse Malcy has paid to be a member of the syndicate, but I doubt it.
