I was a sport photographer for 12 years, covering Champions league, Premier League and Championship football. I worked for The Press Association.
I now teach Photojournalism at University. I’m a board member of the British Press Photographers Association and a Press Card holder.
I’ve met Phil a couple of times, in a professional capacity, (mainly at Bristol City v Ipswich games), and a good number of this board know too.

It's interesting really. Its a message board for discussions yet people are hooked up on what's real what's not. When pretty much all users correctly hide behind made up usernames. It makes no sense why some are so keen on truths and evidence when your talking to someone hiding behind a username. BTW usernames are the correct way to go.. but just find it interesting. It is a message board for football discussion, but it also a place where people share their experiences of football, life, careers, etc.
Anyone who's been on this board for a while knows that CB had been in involved in sports photography for a number of years and has experience of meeting and photographing managers, players, club staff, etc as part of the job. You may not have known this when you made your original comment, which is fair enough, but once CB had declared their credentials, and had the support of other posters, doubling down was not an option... |  |

Not sure of the need for this. Pretty well known Cheltenham was a photographer and, as he says, I have met him press rooms at matches. I'm sure he's been in Nigel Pearson press conferences, as I have.
He certainly went through a spell at Leicester where he was very difficult with the press, called a friend of mine a bastard under his breath, which was caught by the microphone, and another an ostrich.
On the other hand, he has been relatively chatty in pressers down here, talking about how he'd have liked the job here when he was in the running in 2006 (I was told at the time the job was his to lose and he interviewed poorly) and a friend of mine worked with him at Leicester and elsewhere and has a lot of time for him both as a manager and a person.

Yesterday you stated that Bakinson was an Ashton signing which is simply an opinion you stated as fact. People asked how you would know this and you couldn't tell them so you got the arse.
CB stated his view on Pearson based on the times he'd encountered him. You, being the clever clogs you are, thought you'd catch him out and ask for evidence. He supplied his well-known backstory of being a pro sports photographer which made you look like a tit. Now you're doubling down.

I've seen the OPS past posts so know of his past. Just asking for the evidence requested by the forum police for sharing such as post that he did.
