They are just nuts...so deep down the rabbit hole they have lost all sense of reality bar what they have been fed by Social Media.

Social media and influencers have to be held to account! I haven't spoken to my best mate and Godfather to my daughter for over 3 years due to conspiracy theories. No reason just stopped engaging with me, no arguments etc full on 5g, Chemtrails etc etc
As a society we need to find a way how to understand and help such people.

That link was a refreshing insight how someone can get dragged into the conspiracy theories, particularly relevant at the moment.
Whilst it is easy to slag these people off as idiots and morons, far better to try and understand what is going on. And one huge aspect is the lack of trust in our politicians/institutions.
The conspirqcy theorists starting position is that those telling us to stay home, get jabbed, mask up are dishonest and corrupt. Which is something we see for ourselves in the conduct of our politicians on a regular basis...
Reminds me of this Garda preventing an Anti-Vax candidate entering the count centre last year.
What’s utterly shameful is how these idiots keep comparing this to 1930’s Germany, how can simply refusing to have a jab and not being allowed access into certain areas of life for the safety of others be compared to mass genocide and consequential world wide military conflict.
