My thoughts go to anyone who has someone in this tribute, or has lost someone not included

Nice touch by the Club

Nice touch from the club.

Makes you think doesn’t it.

Just watched it…. Always brings some dust to my eye.

Saw someone I recognised too…. Not someone I know directly, but is more a friend of a friend of a friend - one of those people you see around regularly at games and have done for years.

RIP Dave Whitehand and all the others on the video.

Just realized the young kid shown near the start of the video was the young Birmingham fan Arthur tragically killed last year. Obviously it doesn’t really matter but not sure why he’d be on an ITFC tribute video.

I looked to see if TG had been included as I think she was a 2021 loss, wasn't she?

I messaged Sitters and he seemed to think so, but thought there was no-one to have passed her details on to be included, which is sad.

RIP TG as well as all those included.

That really is a nice touch by the club I must say. Really sad watching it and I saw someone on there I've known in business circles for years and ITFC to a lesser extent that I didn't know had passed. Bit of a shock.

Rest in Peace Martyn Elmy . . .

I knew Martyn too - he used to drive me to games as a kid. I had no idea and I was very sad to see that this morning.

On the off chance Jim or Frances are reading this - my sincere condolences.

Yes it's warming to see how the club brings together all sorts and ages. My dad is now 90, hasn't been for a while but still sends me Monday's Star in the post even though I've probably read it all before he actually bought it.

Indeed, I should have mentioned her passing to the club. RIP Jane.

RIP Jane Summerfield aka TractorGirl by SitfcB 22 Jun 2021 9:57
Former poster TractorGirl, Jane Summerfield, sadly passed away back in February.

I know she had controversial views and was always outspoken on here but I got to know her and met her a few times at football plus seeing her on the bus or at Tesco Copdock a few times, believe she lived somewhere off Belmont Road and she was a thoroughly nice lady.

My mum is a bus driver and she had heard from another driver, Jane was a regular bus user, a while ago that Jane had passed alone at home due to Covid but I hadn’t seen any confirmation as such until just now on her FB page.

RIP Jane x

And also Robin - don't know his surname - aka No.9 on here. Never met him, but he was kindness personified, PM'd me huge amounts of useful info to help with the anti-fracking movement.

Really sad to flick through that and discover some departures of people I've known that I was previously unaware of.

Sad to see people younger than me on there.

I think we need an extra minute's applause for Irene Trunkfield's picture. Great effort.

I think that’s really nice. I actually recognise somebody who used to sit next to my dad for many years. A lovely lady and enthusiastic ITFC supporter called Margaret. I’ll be able to show him this tomorrow.

I’d forgotten a Frank Brogan had passed away. He was a very good player; an integral part of the 68 Div 2 champions side, Frank scored 69 goals in 223 appearances over 7 years.

RIP all of them! Each and every one always a blue.

I remember watching the tribute last year and thinking it was sad, but this year it is even sadder because there are two people with whom I have a connection. One is a school friend that I had known for 45 years, the other is the mother of another school friend that I have known for the same time. And I know that both their families are really touched by the tribute.

Some on there who are far too young. Sad, but once a blue! Everyone knows only Ipswich fans get to heaven anyway where we sit at the right hand of Sir Bobby, otherwise known as God.

RIP Blues.
