Probably one of the best away ends I've ever been in... 09:57 - Jan 26 with 8912 viewsTresBonne

Last night. Sung for 90 minutes. For once on a London away, our fans were actually sensible. Unreal limbs for the goals.

Only bad thing was the stewards, who tf did they think they were? MI6?

It was the security company that was particularly bad. Many had balaclavas on and were clearly spoiling for a fight. Wouldn’t happen in any other sport - i wish I’d taken a picture.

I noticed the stewards were all stood along the front of the stands blocking the view for those sat in the designated safe seating area at the front of the stand.

It’s a shame, because it’s not any of our fans fault. The seating area and disabled area was in a terrible place, right behind the goal and next to the stairs so when the celebrations went on, it probably impacted a lot of them.

Shame. No problem with people running down stairs to celebrate a goal though.

It was alright. Didn't get much atmosphere from home fans. Outside it looks very soulless, it's just huge towers of metal and steel. Inside is nice though.

Nope, that incident was down to our fans bundling over about three rows. The poor bloke had no chance. Exuberance is fair enough and it wasn't malicious but a few were reckless at that point.

This was a fair few rows up the stand behind the goal.

Any idea what block? I didn't see it happen so just wondering if I missed something. Think it happened on every stairwell in the away end tbf.

Block 114 Row G on the aisle adjacent to 115 so think the bloke was 24.

Watching the highlights this morning, there is a very obvious surge right behind the goal at that point.

I would say my security search to get in last night was more stringent than airport security checks.

I suppose I'm not bothered if it stops things coming into a ground that shouldn't do but it did seem a bit extreme. And yes the kit the security/stewards (or whatever they are supposed to be) are wearing is not good...it's intimidating rather than giving a 'come and ask me for help if you need it' vibe.

Enjoyed the game, and we were in good voice but nothing particularly special about it for me other than an excellent 3 points as ground wasn't really one for atmosphere.

I was on the other side of the goal in the corner of the ground and they looked nowhere near as threatening there - just looked like a bunch of kids. There was a ridiculous number of them though!

There was a rush down to the front for both goals between Blocks 112 which I was in, adjacent to the exit & Block 113 (the so called designated 'safe seating' area with the disabled area at the front.) For the first goal a lady was knocked out of her wheelchair & left straight after. Lots of people were crowding the aisle throughout the game & stewards spent a lot of time clearing that area, obviously for safety reasons. It was a small, makeshift stand of about 11 rows & very close to the pitch with not a lot of room. When people rushed down you could feel the stand moving. When this guy threw his arms out on the aisle at one point singing about Ipswich his hand hit my face - not intentional obviously, but shows how limited the space was. I've always gone to a lot of the away games & know what to expect. But this was a different experience altogether. I live in London, about 40mins away. Pleased we got the 3pts but quite honestly wish I'd stayed at home & watched it on ifollow.

I mean, there is merit to the concern. Fan got injured last night then that nobber at Charlton. I want safe standing to come back so very bad, but the only way it will work is if people don't get hurt as a result.

I was in the middle of the main stand behind the dugouts (couldn't get a ticket in the away end) and it was loud.

I had friends down near the Wimbledon singing fans and they were saying we were pretty quiet. Maybe a little noisier after the goals went in but we weren't that loud throughout in my opinion. Decent enough modern stadium but not stand out for me. Well constructed to have the away fans have a private route to Earlsfield - reminded me a little of Millwall.

We were 1-0 up I think when they had their chap go through one-on-one on goal and I was in the middle of chanting 'Oh when the town...' by myself and I could hear it on the Sky Sports highlights so we can't have been that loud.

I also assume the 'Wimbledon is a s***hole, I wanna go home' was sung ironically? Or are we not imaginative enough to drop that chant?

On plus notes I saw fans quick to help a fan up who fell over on the walk out of the ground (he had a walking stick). I also saw a kid queuing alone for a pie & bovril (good lad) at half time and only had a tenner on him. The lady said 'card only' and another fan didn't think twice and tapped their card to pay the £7 for the lad. Nice touch.

Eh?

I don't know the ground but if those areas are in a bad location, it still isn't right. What the hell are people doing? Course its the fan's (involved) fault haha. No care for other people.

Was scoring a goal vs WImbledon really so exciting that this has happened. I dread to think what these poeple will be like if we actually scored an important goal haha
